Howard Baker Federal Courthouse

This project is a three-story, 250,000 sq. ft. building constructed on a two-block site in 1991 as the corporate headquarters for Whittle Communications. The Georgian style architecture facility, a landmark in downtown Knoxville, includes elaborate interior finishes and authentic building materials. The building is crowned by a tall, slender cupola which is a feature of the Knoxville skyline.

In 1995, Whittle Communications sold the building to the federal government and a new wing and courtrooms were added to the design of the building.
