Kramer Rayson Offices

The adaptive reuse construction of the third and fourth floors of the historic JC Penney Building in downtown Knoxville was completed for the Kramer Rayson Offices. The project includes over 23,000 sq. ft. of new office space and administrative functions for the expanding law firm. Improvements to the space include nine-foot exposed brick walls, wood windows and monumental stairs in the reception area.

Johnson & Galyon was selected as the contractor through a competitive proposal process. As the contractor, Johnson & Galyon provided input and advice throughout the design and construction process on budget, value engineering and matters of constructability. The budget Johnson & Galyon provided to the owner was used in the decision process for the purchase of the space.
