Johnson & Galyon Construction was selected for this amazing project as the Construction Manager / General Contractor. The models have been completed and the Tennessean Personal Luxury Hotel will begin taking reservations in the Spring of 2017. The views from the Tennessean are spectacular and the quality of the spaces will exceed your expectations.
The Johnson & Galyon team was proud to be a member of this project and provided a full array of pre-construction and construction services for the client. Extensive planning, design and estimating took place for more than a year before construction began in early 2016. Multiple changes were reviewed until the design and construction costs fell into line with the overall vision of the luxury hotel.
The building was originally the State Office Building which was connected to the Holiday Inn via a common lobby area. When the State of Tennessee divested the property, The Tennessean became the new vision. Significant exterior modifications were required to construct the new floor to ceiling windows on all floors. The existing interiors were completely gutted to allow for entirely new floor plans for the hotel and condo areas. Finishes are of the highest quality and will compliment the views of the World’s Fair Park, the University of Tennessee and Downtown Knoxville.
The Tennessean is looking forward to receiving its first guest soon. It will definitely be worth your time to visit and see the changes that have taken place over the last year.
