Jon R. Lawler, Chief Operating Officer

Since 2011, Jon Lawler has been a valued member of the Johnson & Galyon leadership team, first as Executive Vice President and now as Chief Operating Officer, where he oversees the company’s project management staff and superintendents and overall strategic planning efforts.

Jon’s career is a diverse and distinguished one. He has successful experience in running a construction company, serving as a senior partner in a real estate and development firm, and leading a Knoxville community initiative to end homelessness alongside the city’s mayor.

He has also been a part of a number of notable construction projects through the years, including Clarity Pointe, Two Rivers Church (addition), Blount Community Church and the Wyndham’s Sales Center at Fairfield Glade Resort, among others.

Active in the community, Jon Lawler currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Webb School of Knoxville, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Emerald Youth Foundation, Legacy Parks Foundation and the Knoxville Christian Community Foundation.

Jon graduated from Vanderbilt University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and History. He also earned a Master’s degree in New Testament Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Tennessee.

Jon and his wife, Toni, currently reside in Knoxville and have two children – Jon Daniel and Nathaniel.
